Mollie Nelson Rodgers died Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2011, at Laughlin Hospital in Greeneville at the age of 63.

She had resided at Greene Valley Development Center in Greeneville for about 28 years.

She was born in Cleveland in 1948.

She attended Arnold Elementary School for several years and was widely known and visible at many community events in Cleveland. She was a joy to all who knew her and will be greatly missed by family and her caregivers at Greene Valley.

She was a member of Broad Street United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frances and Joe Rodgers Sr.; and a brother, Walter Lee “Buddy” Rodgers.

Survivors include a brother, Joe Rodgers Jr. and wife, Amy; sister-in-law, Judy Rodgers; nephews: Joseph Garrison (Garry) Rodgers, Wesley Lee Rodgers, Walter Lee (Randy) Rodgers Jr.; and a niece, Kelly Rodgers Brown of Raleigh, N.C.; and several great-nephews.

A private memorial service will be held.
