Bradley Central’s freshman Bears set the tone early against arch-rival Cleveland recently, building on an early advantage to claim a 44-32 victory.

Daniel Clark netted nine of Bradley’s first quarter points as the Bears raced out to a 13-4 lead by the first buzzer.

Stretching the difference to 13 points by the half proved to be key for Bradley as the Raiders rallied to outscore them 22-20 during the final two frames.

Clark led all scorers with 19 points, while Luke Rymer helped out with eight points and pulled down a half dozen rebounds.

Ty Morgan added seven points and four boards to the victory, while Tucker Maroon also snagged four caroms and put in six points.

Raekwon Bunion led the Blue Raiders with 13 points, all of which came after the intermission.
