He was born Sept. 3, 1928, in Tennga, Ga.
He was retired from Bowater Paper Co. and United Knitting. He also owned Wiggins and Son Hardware in Benton. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Benton.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred Thompson Wiggins; father, James Henry Wiggins; sister, Monnie Powell Wiggins; and brother, John Henry Wiggins.
He is survived by his wife, Dean Moss Wiggins, of Delano; daughter, Marion Kerr and husband, Jim, of Cleveland; son, William Ray Wiggins and wife, Betty, of Delano; granddaughters: Julie Greene and husband, Brad, and Emily Renner and husband, Forrest; six great-grandchildren; brother, George Wiggins of Michigan; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011, in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with the Rev. Jasper Woody officiating.
Interment will follow in Benton Memorial Gardens with Ted Wilson, Marvin Weaver, Don Ledford, Curtis Loveday, Doug Wilson, Jerry Lowery and Gene Wilson serving as pallbearers.
A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service.
