Union University

JACKSON — Amanda Grace Bennett of Cleveland was named to the Union University President’s List for the fall 2011 semester. She is one of 257 students so honored.

The President’s List includes full-time students who achieve a 4.0 grade point average on a four-point scale. Founded in 1823 and affiliated with the Tennessee Baptist Convention, Union University is characterized by quality, Christ-centered teaching and learning.

Union University offers liberal arts training in more than 100 majors and programs of study, along with professional programs in business, education and nursing.

Northwestern Ohio

Shaun Wright, son of Glenn Wright and Maggie Totherow of Decatur, has been accepted to the University of Northwestern Ohio, Lima, Ohio, to begin classes in June.

Wright plans to major in the auto mechanics program. He currently attends Meigs County High School.
