Aubry “John” Bradford Jr., 75, a resident of Georgetown, passed away Monday, Jan. 9, 2012, in a local hospital.

He was the son of the late Jewell Hawkins Bradford and Aubry Lee Bradford Sr. He was also preceded in death by his sisters: Elsie Miller, Betty Brown and Jane Anderson; and brothers: James Bradford and Tom Bradford.

He was retired from Georgia Pacific as a dye cutter operator with 25 years of service. He was a huge NASCAR fan and No. 18, Kyle Busch, was his favorite driver. He loved the outdoors and was a member of Stanfield Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Lois Saffles Bradford of Georgetown; daughter, Stacy Caywood and her, husband, Tommy; and son, Dale Bradford, all of Georgetown; granddaughter, Brandi Rue and her husband, Joey; grandson, Josh Caywood; and great-granddaughter, Madison Rue, all of Georgetown; sister, Virginia Brown and her husband, Tommy, of Rock Spring, Ga.; brother, Sam Bradford of Chattanooga; and several nieces and nephews.

The Remembrance of Life graveside service and interment will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, 2012, from the Swafford Cemetery with the Revs. David Evans and Eric Geren officiating.

Active pallbearers will be David Silvers, Chuck Silvers, Tommy Saffles, Jared Shelton, Rick Brogan and Joey Rue. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Silvers and Tony Saffles.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 8 this evening at the North Ocoee Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes.
