He was a member of Faith Memorial Church.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He served in the Tennessee Defense Force and was also a member of the American Legion. He was a volunteer with the American Red Cross and was once awarded as Volunteer of the Year. He received the Frank Hardwick Award. He was a former constable in the state of Connecticut.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Doris Snow; father, Harold W. Snow; stepmother, Estelle Snow; and two brothers, Richard Snow and Harry Snow.
Survivors include his loving wife of 33 years, Sue Snow of Cleveland; daughters: Vanessa Snow, Sara Martin, “his coffee girl,” Mary and Dean Hudson, Dannette and Robbie Sheafer (she always made him laugh), all of Cleveland; sons, Robert Martin of Cleveland and Harold Snow of Connecticut; grandsons: David Martin, Steve and Chris Kratzke, Levi Hudson and a very special grandson and namesake, Andrew Wade Walsh; two granddaughters: Brandi Martin of Pensacola, Fla. and Ruth Ellen Hudson of Cleveland; one great- grandson, Kamron Hall (loved to give his Papaw hugs and take his smokes) of Pensacola; and sister, Linda Snow of Saco, Maine.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 13, 2012, at Faith Memorial Church with Pastor David Riggs officiating.
Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors.
A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
Charlie Barnett, Oscar Barnett, Robbie Sheafer, Earl Moats, Larry Walsh and Jewell Martin will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer will be Andrew Wade Walsh.
His family will receive friends from 5 to 8 this evening at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.
