She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Mattie Hawkins Arp; son, James Harold Smith.
Survivors include her husband, the Rev. William Hoyt Smith; two children: Pat Hamby and Danny Joe Smith; and brother, Sam Arp.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, 2012, at Mine City Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
Fike Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
