A cocktail party for 50 at Holly Hill estate in Charleston, above, will be the major auction item at the Grape Escape Wine Dinner and Auction for the Museum Center at FIve Points.

For an evening of great food and selected wines with a fun auction of wine and other related items, the Grape Escape Wine Dinner and Auction at Café Roma will have all the flavors for anyone to savor.

Hosted by the Museum Center at Five Points, the eighth annual silent auction will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Jan. 29.

Tickets for the evening are $95 per person. Proceeds from the evening benefit the Museum Center at Five Points.

The evening, which is limited in seating, consists of a four-course dinner with wine pairings. A silent auction of wine-related items, followed by a live auction of premier wines and wine tastings.

Among this year’s live auction items will be a June cocktail party for 50 at Holly Hill, the private Charleston estate of Robert Rymer and John Teets. Greg Hicks of Impressions Catering is providing five gourmet appetizers, Hamilton Liquors is providing wine and cocktails are also included. The fabulous gardens at Holly Hill will be in full bloom in June, making this a splendid location to host a party.

In addition to this amazing auction item, fine wines that have been selected throughout the year will be auctioned off. Throughout the evening, attendees can also bid on silent auction items of wines and wine-related high ends arts and crafts.

These items are often made by the artists and craftspeople of the Museum Center’s store. Each carefully handcrafted item uniquely brings in the theme of grapes or wine, while creating a remarkable one-of-a-kind work of art that will be cherished forever by the lucky winner.
