He was a retired carpenter with Simpson Bridge Co. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of Zion Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Eugene and Flossie Swafford Disney; and daughter, Veronica Disney Bell.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred Day Disney, of Benton; daughter, Cindy Disney of Etowah; and grandsons: Joshua Nathaniel Bell of Benton and David Mathew Bell of Maryville.
The funeral will be held at 8 p.m. today, Jan. 24, 2012, in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with the Revs. Ken Zollinger and David Peters officiating.
Interment will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Old Ocoee Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 this evening at the funeral home prior to the service.
