The Huguenot Society of Tennessee recently donated three children’s books pertaining to Huguenot history to local libraries. Receiving the books were the Cleveland-Bradley County Public Library, the library at Prospect Elementary and the library at Arnold Memorial Elementary. The book, “Huguenot Garden,” was written by Douglas M. Jones III (1995, Canon Press). In an effort to portray Huguenot life in France in 1685, the story follows the adventures of twin sisters and their family as they work, worship and suffer persecution in 17th-century France. On hand for the presentation were Keisha Parks, Public Library’s children’s librarian, and John Hood, of Huguenot Society of Tennessee.
