Geraldean Elam of the Department of Human Services in Bradley County was named recipient of the Tennessee Saves FINRA award, a quarterly recognition for enrolling individuals as Tennessee Savers. This program helps individuals learn to manage finances more efficiently for the purpose of paying down debt and beginning a savings program. Tennessee Saves Week is Feb. 19-26. It promotes three key savings strategies which include: saving for emergencies; paying off high-cost debt; and saving through direct deposit.
