Charles P. Covington Jr., 86, died Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012, at Dickson Healthcare Center.
A native of Maury County, he was the son of the late Charles P. Covington Sr. and Evelyn Hayes Covington.
He retired as an electrician (superintendent) for the Nashville Electrical Union No. 429 and was a member of Dickson Seventh-day Adventist Church.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 65 years, Virginia Abernathy Covington; and his daughter, Virginia Lynn Covington, both of Dickson; his son, Charles P. Covington III and his wife, Kim, of Cleveland; and one grandson, Charles Covington IV.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012 from the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home in Dickson with Pastor William Miller officiating.
Interment will follow in Dickson County Memorial Gardens.
