A benefit singing and chili supper will be held for Tamie Baker (a cancer patient) Saturday at Covenant Baptist Church, two miles down Ladd Springs Road. The chili supper will begin at 4:30 p.m. and the singing at 6 p.m., featuring Answered Prayer, Gene Higgins and Kayliegh Jones.

The Mars Relay for Life team is sponsoring a communitywide dance to benefit the American Cancer Society. Step “n” Out to Stomp Cancer will be Saturday from 7 to 11 p.m. at the Tri State Center’s Louie Alford Building off Exit 20 on Interstate 75. Whether you like to Sock Hop or ’50s style music, there will be something sure to please everyone with dancing, karaoke, refreshments and lots of fun. Admission is $10 per person.
