He was a former employee of Bradley County Nursing Home for 22 years. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in Germany.
He was the son of the late William S. Collett and Etta Keith Collett. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Oletha Oneal Collett; two sisters: Hazel Collett and Roberta Collett; and one brother, Kenneth Collett.
He is survived by his two daughters: Nadine Bennett and husband, Olin, of Cleveland and Cynthia Ledbetter and husband, Scott, of Chattanooga; and two grandchildren: Milton White and Dakota Ledbetter, both of Chattanooga.
At his request there will be no services.
