Sheila Faye Newman, 54, a resident of Spring City died Friday, Feb. 24, 2012, in a Chattanooga hospital.

She was the daughter of the late Donald and Georgia McDowell.

She was a member of Temple Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughters: Deborah Bishop of Spring City and Bunnye Ngare of Chattanooga; three grandchildren; three sisters: Velma Michaels of Harrison, Rita Ellison of Birchwood, and Sandra Reed of Jasper; three brothers: Ronny McDowell and his wife, Linda, Donald McDowell and David McDowell, all of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews.

A Remembrance of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27, 2012, at the Wildwood Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes with the Rev. Paul Fox officiating.

The family will receive friends at 11 a.m. Monday until service time at the funeral home.
