Dominique Hannah was 3-for-3 and scored one run to lead the Lady Flames’ offense. Savanna Bell, Ana Coscorrosa, Kelsey Barnes, Charlie Wooden and Dezirae Parsons each tallied singles.
Barnes knocked in two runs, while Bell, Coscorrosa and Wooden recorded one RBI each.
Trevecca Nazarene (3-6) scored once in the second, once in the third and three times in the fourth to pull within three of the Lady Flames.
Heather Shuler was 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs. Lindsey Stephens was 2-for-4 with a solo home run. Caitlyn Bailey doubled and brought home a run in the loss.
Brittany Balough gave up five runs and seven hits in four innings of work, but still earned the win. Balough (5-0) walked two and struck out three.
Jessa Watts struck out six batters and did not allow a hit in three innings of relief to pick up her first save.
Riley Mashburn (0-2) was charged with the loss after giving up eight runs (five earned), seven hits and five walks. Natalie Papini allowed just one hit and struck out one in 2 2/3 innings of work.
The Lady Flames return to Butler Field Tuesday afternoon to face Tennessee Wesleyan College. The non-conference twin bill is scheduled for a 2 p.m. start.
