Jessie Irene Black Cates, 90, a resident of Cleveland, died Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012, in a local health care facility.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Cates; parents, Walter and Nora Black; two infant children; and her brothers: Robert, Clifford, C.L. and Buford Black.

She was a member of Shady Springs Baptist Church in Polk County.

Survivors include a bother, Lester E. Black of Reliance; sister, Mary Lee Cooke of Cleveland; and several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and nephews.

A Remembrance of Life graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012, at the Dill Cemetery with the Rev. Paul Craig officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 this evening at the Wildwood Avenue Chapel of Jim Rush Funerals Home.
