David Andrew McClellon, 80, of Charleston, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012, after a brief battle with cancer.

He was born on Feb. 12, 1932, to the Late Elmore and Annie Mae McClellon.

He was a member of Green Chapel Church.

He graduated from College Hill High School in 1953. He served in the U.S. Army from August 1954 to July 25, 1956.

He was employed at Allied Bendix for 21 years and was a Bradley County security officer for many years.

He was preceded in death by parents; his wife, Elizabeth McClellon, and Von Gail Constance.

Survivors include a son, Sandy McClellon of Charleston; sister, Billie Ruth (Ross) Wilson of Charleston; nieces: Sandra Farris of Chattanooga, Terri (Terry) Moore Charleston; great-nieces: Taylor and Tia Moore of Charleston; a host of relatives and special friend of the family, the Patton family.

The funeral will be private, per his wishes.
