According to a report filed by officer Brandy Brown of the Cleveland Police Department, Lutts noted she had knowledge of several acts had been reported recently of vandalism to the building and surrounding property.
Lutts reported the most recent was noticed by an employee on Friday.
Someone had broken three windows from the Museum Annex building, sometime after regular business hours.
Investigation has been turned over to detective Brian Smith of CPD’s Criminal Investigations Division.
- A burglary at an Old Chattanooga Pike address netted jewelry and collectible knives.
A report filed for Sam Woodell indicated the burglary occurred Monday.
According to the report filed by deputy Adam Ensley of the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office, a number of diamond rings, necklaces and other jewelry were taken along with five Kershaw-brand knives.
Woodell believed burglars entered his home after he returned to work after taking lunch at home.
Detective Shaunda Efaw of the Criminal Investigations Division responded to the scene to collect evidence.
Loss of property was estimated at $6,076.
Investigation is continuing.
- A storage unit located on Waterlevel Highway was broken into during the weekend and several items were reportedly stolen.
A report filed by deputy Doug Graham of the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office indicated Steve Earnest was the victim.
According to his report, Earnest went to the location to do a routine check on his pull-behind camper.
When he arrived, Earnest found someone had forced the door open to his storage unit.
Missing was a Haier television set, a digital converter and a variety of hand tools.
The loss was estimated at $200.
Investigation is continuing.
