Jeffrey Blan Sherrill, 44, of Cleveland and formerly of the Sanford community near Riceville, died Wednesday, March 7, 2012, in an automobile-truck accident on Michigan Avenue Road in Cleveland.

He was a native of Greensboro, N.C., but lived the early part of his life in the Sanford community.

He was a member of Westmore Church of God in Cleveland, where he played the French horn in the church orchestra.

He was a graduate of McMinn County High class of 1985, and a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a bachelor’s degree in computer science, and later obtained his master of business arts degree from UTC.

He was active in his community as a volunteer and was a true reflection of Jesus Christ.

He has been associated for 22 years with Whirlpool/Maytag as a GIS senior analyst in Project Management Global Business Solutions in Cleveland.

He is survived by his wife, Tonia O’Neal Sherrill; one son, Jonathan Blan Sherrill; two daughters: Stella Grace Sherrill and Anna Michelle Sherrill, all of Cleveland; mother and father, Ronald B. and Imogene Whaley Sherrill of Riceville; one sister, Jenny Sherrill Cox and her husband, Greg Cox; two nieces: Sarah Katherine Cox and Rachel Roselyn Cox, all of Riceville; father and mother-in-law, John and Linda O’Neal; and one brother-in-law, Christopher O’Neal, all of Cleveland.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2012, at Westmore Church of God in Cleveland with Pastors Kelvin Page and Mitch Maloney officiating.

The body will lie in repose at the church from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Cleveland.

Pallbearers will be Steve Bullins, Rick Hunt, Lyle Swartzel, Jeff Womac, Edward Hicks, Ken Bolin, Josh Morrison and Dan Hultgren.

The family suggests memorials be made to Westmore Church of God, P.O. Box 3442, Cleveland TN 37320-3442.
