Lorene Ellis Carden, 84, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, March 8, 2012, in a local health care facility.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Carden; father, Asbery Ellis; and her mother, Dora Dowdy Ellis; stepmother, Emaline Hicks; brother, Gary Ellis, and nephew Steve Wallace.

Survivors include her sister, Edith Bullard and brothers: Tom, Frank, Albert, and Alvin Ellis; and several nieces and nephews.

The family received friends Sunday, March 11, 2012, from 4 to 7 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.

Interment will be held at Lebanon Cemetery today , March 12, 2012, at 2 p.m.
