He was of the Baptist faith. At the time of his death, he was employed as production manager with Notary Public Underwriters, where he gave 26 years of service.
He was a member and treasurer of the Amateur Radio Club in Tallahassee, Fla., for several years. He enjoyed collecting guns and knives and also enjoyed photography.
He was the son of the late James Ernest Hinkle and Eva Ballinger Hinkle. He was also preceded in death by his special uncle, Junior Hinkle.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Jacquita Hinkle; two daughters: Melissa Hinkle and Kristy Jenkins, all of Midway; four grandchildren: Austin Hinkle, Emily Hinkle, Summer Jenkins and Ronald Jenkins Jr.; one brother, David Hinkle and wife of Rossville, Ga.; special sister-in-law, Cecile Wilson; three special aunts: Juanita Hinkle of Cleveland, Bobbie May of Rossville and Sarah Miller of Cleveland; three nieces; great-nieces, great-nephews and several cousins.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 15, 2012, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Johnny Hood officiating.
Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens.
A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
