She was of the Church of God faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Geren; parents, Flavis and Hettie Aaron Dixon; brother, James D. Dixon; and three sisters: Ruby Smith, Jewell Connors and Opal Forgey.
She is survived by her daughter, Darlene McLean and husband, Charles, of Delano; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 17, 2012, in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home.
Interment will follow in Fort Hill Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
