Frances Elizabeth Rymer was born March 4, 1919, in Crandall, Ga., the third of seven children of Frances “Todd” McCamy and Frank Albert Rymer.

The family lived and farmed in the Fairy Valley community. After the death of her father in 1931, the family moved to Old Fort to the McCamy farm, which is still in the family.

In the early 1940s, she worked for Volunteer Electric.

In 1943, she married Bill Richard Blair of Centre, La. They lived in Oak Ridge where he worked on the Manhattan Project and she worked for Moore & Kitchens Construction.

In 1964, they moved to Southside, Ala., where Moore & Kitchens were developing lakeside property.

After the death of her husband in 1970, she returned to Cleveland, going to work for Cleveland Utilities, where she worked until retirement in 1984.

She has been a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church since 1972 and served as an officer in Cleveland Woman’s Club for many years. S

he enjoys playing Bridge, watching Atlanta Braves baseball games on TV and being with her family and extended family.
