A SPECIAL RETIREMENT and appreciation party for Claudine Henson Ensley, the crossing guard at Blythe-Bower Elementary School for the past 47 years, will be Friday at 6 p.m. at the little theater inside Blythe-Bower. The public is invited to attend the celebration. Cleveland crossing guard Teresa Watson, left, said, “Miss Claudine is like the Queen of England to me. She’s the reason I became a crossing guard. I wanted to have the love and respect I saw people had for her. This is our opportunity to show our appreciation for her. Gifts, cards, a favorite covered dish or just a hug are all welcome.”
