James E. “Porkey” Cullins, 79, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2012, at the family residence.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Sally Duckett Cullins and Samuel Cullins; sisters: Robbie Forgey and Rethea Forgey; brother, Raymond Cullins; and nephews: Dean Forgey, Buford Forgey, Mitchell Cullins and Gary Cullins.

He was a retired butcher at Red Food Store. He was a veteran of the Korean War and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his daughter, Tara Janette Cullins of Cleveland; son, James Eddie Cullins Jr.; grandchildren: Brandon Stevens and his, wife, Brittany, Samontha Stevens and Jahalen Cullins; niece, Judy Godfrey; nephew, Terry Forgey and Ray Cullins; and special friends: Bob and Linda McNabb and Rick and Patsy Cavett.

A Remembrance of Life service will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, March 30, 2012, at the Wildwood Avenue Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes with Pastor Jeannie Cissom officiating.

Interment will follow in the veterans section of Fort Hill Cemetery with military honors.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Stevens, Eddie Cullins, Rick Cavett, Randy Hutto, Michael Graham and Robby Davidson.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 this evening at the funeral home.
