The Lee University Lady Flames tennis team cruised to an 8-1 win over Belhaven University, Saturday, as part of a Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) weekend. William Carey visited Friday, as the Flames and Lady Flames each competed with the visitors from the west division.

The 16th-ranked Lady Flames (8-4) dominated the visiting Blazers, Saturday, only dropping the No. 6 singles match. Tonya Walters and Kelsey Gray (8-2), Tarah Garner and Annie Sandberg (8-1), and Stephanie Todd and Christy North (8-5) took the top three doubles matches, respectively. Walters, Gray, Garner, Sandberg, and Todd each took wins in their singles position.

Both teams dropped their matchup with William Carey, the ladies, 5-1, and the men, 5-0. The matches started Friday but were postponed until early Saturday, due to rain. The 15th-ranked Flames (7-5) narrowly dropped their Saturday match with Blazers, falling 5-4.
