A lifelong resident of McMinn County, she was a daughter of the late Roy and Opal McInturff Shelton. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Allen Barham; son Tommy Barham; and a grandson, Cody Moats.
She was a member of Spring Creek United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Calhoun High School.
She is survived by one daughter, Betty Barham, of Lookout Mountain; three sons and their families: Walter and wife, Paula, and son, Michael Moats, and grandson Slade Moats; Rick and wife, Norma, and children: Cayci (Clint Garrison) and Brad and Bill and wife, Karen, and children: Tanner and Tori, all of Calhoun, three sisters: Myron Bowman of Birmingham, Ala., Jan (Wes) Green of Kerrville, Texas and Phyllis Kellem of Duluth, Ga.; and two brothers: Roy (Wilma) Shelton of Calhoun and Phillip (Cindy) Shelton of Charleston, and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great- nephews, and cousins.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 3, 2012, at the Spring Creek United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mary Parson and Lay Leader Sondra Guthrie officiating.
Interment will follow in Lower Spring Creek Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Smith Funeral & Cremation Services of Athens, today, April 2, 2012, from 5 to 8 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Tanner Barham, Brad Barham, Clint Garrison, Kyle Policastro, Cody Huggins, Jake Evans, Travis Crisp and Steven Shelton.
Honorary pallbearers will be men of Spring Creek United Methodist Church.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Spring Creek Cemetery Fund in care of Betty Trotter, 108 County 51, Riceville, TN 37370.
