“We are so grateful for the community’s response,” Williams said. “Continued support means so much. We always need help. As volunteers we open up our homes to homeless pets. We’re not a kill shelter. We don’t have a shelter facility. We take in all types of species — everything from exotic animals and birds to lizards and rabbits. No animal is turned away unless we don’t have the room.”
Kathy Kinder, president of PALS, said, “We all agreed to give back to our community and welcome any local support.”
Sonny, the Nape Amazon Parrot, Toby, the Siberian silver fox and boxers, Daphne, Dala Jean and Shyler, were also on hand to say, “Thank you!” The PALS volunteers said donations can still go to Bradley Veterinary Hospital on 5527 Georgetown Road, N.W. Cleveland, TN 37312, to offset PALS’s outstanding balance for providing medical care for the sheltered animals.
