Tweens will have an ArtZone activity on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. at the Cleveland Bradley County Public Library. Discover arts through crafts, music and random acts of silliness in the Tween Room. This activity is for ages 7-12. Teens, ages 13-17, will meet on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. for a craft project in the young adult area,
Family Reading Night will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. in the Cleveland Bradley Library Community Room. Families, come join us for a fun time of stories, crafts and special family reading time. The first 30 children will receive a free book.
Dining with Diabetes, a four-session program, will begin April 17 and continue April 24 and May 1 and 8. Class times are 5 to 7 p.m. for each session. The classes will be held at the UT Extension-Bradley County Extension Building at 95 Church St. S.E., in downtown Cleveland. Sexual Assault Awareness Month is April and the Family Violence Program will be holding a “Healing Through Art” display at the Cleveland Public Library from April 15-21.
THE FAMILY VIOLENCE PROGRAM will be holding a community meeting on April 19 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the library’s community meeting room. This is a great opportunity to become educated on the myths and facts surrounding this crime and proper ways to respond and help a survivor. Child care will be provided on this night. A BOOK AND COFFEE SERIES will be held by The Friends of the Library Association on April 20 at the Craigmiles-Johnston House History Branch library at 10 a.m. Lynn Dunlap will review Martin Fletcher’s novel “The List.”
The Children’s Library is selling Belk Charity tickets for $5 to help raise funds for the Summer Reading Program. Every ticket will get you $5 off your first purchase on April 21 from 6 to 10 a.m. All monies raised will stay in the Children’s library. Inquire at the Children’s Room desk.
