No charges have been filed as of Saturday in connection with a shooting early Friday morning at a Keith Valley Road residence.

Johnny Penn 66, was shot in the neck during what investigators believe to have been a domestic dispute.

Just before 3 a.m. Friday, deputies and Bradley County Emergency Medical Service paramedics responded to a home in the 1100 block of Keith Valley Road after reports of a shooting. Gault indicated the victim was shot with a handgun.

According to 911 dispatchers, the victim was transferred to Erlanger Medical Center for treatment.

911 dispatchers indicated the victim was taken via ambulance due to weather conditions, which did not permit air ambulances to be launched.

“No arrests has been made at this time and detectives with Bradley County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division are continuing to look at the circumstances surrounding the shooting,” Gault said Saturday.
