George A. Perdue, 69, resident of Cleveland, passed away Saturday morning, April 14, 2012, in a local hospital.

He was of the Baptist faith.

He loved drag racing, fishing and anything that involved his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John George Perdue and Oval Etta Perdue; one sister, May Horstman; and one brother, Billy Perdue.

He is survived by his wife, Crystal Sue Perdue; three sons: James Darrell Stewart, George Allen Stewart and John Thomas Perdue; one daughter, Wilma Jane Summers, all of Cleveland; four brothers: Jake Perdue, Roger Perdue, Ricky Perdue and Thomas Perdue; one sister, Sandra McIntyre; eight grandchildren: Dakota Deeter, Austin Deeter, Andrew Hannah, Abigail Stewart, Sierra Stewart, Gunner Stewart, Matthew Summer and Isaac Leighton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at 7 p.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe Lockman officiating.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
