Rabies Clinics to start April 24

Cleveland and Bradley County veterinarians are partnering with the state’s public health inspectors in another communitywide series of Rabies Clinics between April 24 and May 5.

Local resident can get their pets vaccinated for a discount rate on five different days at different locations.

State Public Health inspector Travie Ford will also participate in the activities.

The first clinic date is scheduled from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, at three locations:

- Bellefonte Baptist Church with Dr. Karen Tinkle;

- Blue Springs Elementary School with Dr. Lee Bancroft; and

- Candies Creek Baptist Church with Dr. Oscar Wilson.

A second date will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 26, at four locations:

- McDonald Post Office with Dr. Shelia Connelly;

- Charleston Fire Hall with Dr. Meredith Owens;

- Oak Grove Elementary School with Dr. Mitchell Jordan; and

- Valley View Elementary School with Dr. Ron Stewart.

A third date will be Tuesday, May 1, from 6 to 7 p.m., at three locations:

- Michigan Avenue Elementary School with Dr. Amanda Roddy;

- Waterville Elementary School with Dr. Howard Hamilton; and

- Black Fox Elementary School with Dr. Brad Huttenhoff.

A fourth date will be Thursday, May 3, from 6 to 7 p.m., at four locations:

- Taylor Elementary School with Dr. Bill Moore;

- Blythe-Bower Elementary School with Dr. Bryan Bancroft;

- E.L. Ross Elementary School with Dr. Bart Bain; and

- Prospect Elementary School with Dr. R.S. Thompson.

A fifth and final date will be Saturday, May 5, from 2 to 3 p.m., at three locations:

- Cleveland Animal Shelter with Dr. James Lane;

- Charleston Fire Hall with Dr. Greg Miller; and

- Parkview Elementary School with Dr. Sally Poston.
