Edward W. “Eddie” Brown, 70, of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, April 21, 2012, at his home.

He was a longtime member of Central Church of Christ and was retired from Schering-Plough after 16 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Winston T. and Olga Olsson Brown; and sister, Joyce Robinson.

Survivors include his wife, Gail Brown, of Cleveland; daughters: Sherrie McConnell and husband, Steve, of Cleveland and Mary Collins and husband, Craig, of Destin, Fla.; grandchildren: Houston McConnell, Grayson McConnell and Molly McConnell, all of Cleveland and Maggie Yarbrough of Destin, Fla.; nephew, Steve Robinson; and nieces: Amy Atchley and Molly Pierce, all of Cleveland.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, 2012, in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Minister Tom Harrison officiating.

Entombment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Houston McConnell, Grayson McConnell, Steve McConnell, Craig Collins, Gerald Tatum and Kevin Wills serving as pallbearers. Tom Cawood will serve as honorary pallbearer.

A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 this evening at the funeral home.
