Rosaria Griffith, 84, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2012, at her home.

A native of Endicott, N.Y., she had lived in Bradley County since 1973.

She was a graduate of Triple Cities College and Cornell University.

She was a member of Northside Presbyterian Church and a former member of Valley View Ruritan Club.

A beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, she worked as a college counselor in the 1970s and owned and managed rental properties, even after her retirement. In addition to caring for her family, she enjoyed church activities, travel, and politics. She visited extended family frequently, even in her last years of life.

Her grandchildren continue to enjoy the clothing and toys she chose for them. Her commitment to education inspired not only her family members, but many of the children she was able to mentor.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pietro and Guiseppa D’Angelo Curatolo; and brother, Joseph Curatolo.

Survivors include her husband, Mel Griffith; daughter, Nardina Turner and husband, Brian, of Locust Grove, Ga.; son, Dr. Scott Griffith and wife, Kimberly, of Fulton, Md.; sisters: Leona Andigan and Frances Crawley, both of Endicott, N.Y.; brother, Frank Curatolo of Endwell, N.Y.; and five grandchildren: Nathan, Montana, Haley, Luke and Dylan.

The funeral will be at held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Revs. Art Pflug and Heidi Johnson officiating.

Interment will follow in Moores Chapel Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. today, April 24, 2012, at the funeral home.
