She was a dedicated member of the First Baptist Church since the early 1950s. She was very involved in many of the activities at the church such as her Sunday school class and the quilters, as her health would allow.

She was one of the oldest members that stated the Bible readings the church did when they moved into their new complex on Stuart Road in the fall of 2010.

She was retired from the American Uniform Company.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother who will be missed all those who had the opportunity to know her.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Patsy Segraves; two additional daughters: Minnie Lou McKellip, and Frances Lebow; four sisters: Essie Boring, Mary Lou Roberson, Ola Mae Brown, and Marie Moore; three brothers: Howard Broomfield, Walter Broomfield, and J.L. Broomfield; and one grandson Pat McKellip.

She leaves here to cherish her memory one son, James Ray Segraves and wife, Anne, of Rome, Ga.; one sister-in-law, Geneva Broomfield; five grandchildren Doug McKellip, Dalton, McKellip, Kathy McKellip, Jamie Segraves Hancock, and Joshua Segraves; 11 great-grandchildren; seven great-great- grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other extended family members and friends.

The funeral will be help at 1 p.m. Friday, April 27, 2012 at First Baptist Church, 1275 Stuart Road N.E, Cleveland, TN.

Interment will follow in the Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery with grandsons and great-grandsons serving as pallbearers.

The service will conclude with a White Dove release.

The family will receive friends at the First Baptist Church Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service time.

The family request that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to either the First Baptist Church Building Fund or the Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
