Bobby “Stubby” Pittman, 54 a resident of McDonald, passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2012, in a local hospital.

He was born on Dec. 19, 1957, in Wayne, Mich. He was a son of Charles “Musha” and Louise Pittman of Rossville, Ga. He moved to the McDonald area approximately four years ago from Jamestown, where he worked in the construction industry as a boilermaker. He was of the Baptist faith.

He is preceded in death by one son, Bobby Wayne Pittman Jr.

In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife, Dixie Pittman, of Chattanooga; two daughters: Crystal Roberts (Josh) of Rossville and Melinda Czerny (Edward) of Knoxville; two sisters, Charlene Pittman of Crossville and Tammy Pittman of Woodland, Calif.; four grandchildren, several nieces and other extended family members and friends.

The family is planning to hold a private memorial service at a later time.
