Dotty Wayne Carvin Wilson, 53, a longtime resident of Birchwood, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2012, at a local health care facility.

Dotty was born in Athens on Dec. 22, 1958, to the late R.H. and Dana Lee Womac Carvin.

She was also preceded in death by one brother, Ralph Ed Wilson.

She is survived by her companion of 27 years, Larry Lawson; son, Richard Wilson Jr.; three granddaughters: Haley, Kayla and Gracie Wilson; brother, James Carvin and his wife, Toni; four sisters: P.J. Carvin, Eloise Farmer, Shirley Carvin and Tommy Lee Carvin; and a faithful friend, Mary Joe Ellison.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. today, April 29, 2012, at the Grasshopper Cemetery in Birchwood.
