According to a report filed by deputy Brandon Edwards of the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office, he spoke with William Elkins of a Benton Pike address and reported that his white box trailer had been taken from his yard Thursday. The single axle trailer was described as being 5-feet by 10-feet and had flea market items stored inside.
The trailer and merchandise were valued at $3,000.
Deputy John Davis responded to a White Oak Valley Road home and made contact with Michael Barnes who said his 14-foot by 5-foot trailer had been taken.
The trailer had a silver tool box attached which held several trailer accessories.
The trailer and contents were valued at $1,175.
Deputy Paul Allen filed a report for a Parksville Road resident who said her trailer was taken from her driveway Thursday.
According to the report, Alice Johnson described her trailer as being 5-feet by 8-feet and painted black.
Johnson said the trailer was taken sometime during the night. There was no dollar value listed in the report regarding Johnson’s trailer.
Identification numbers were obtained for the trailers and entered into the National Crime Information Center computer database.
n Tennessee Highway Patrol will be conducting Drivers License Roadside Safety Checkpoints in Bradley County beginning this weekend.
The checkpoints will be set up in random location in the county.
According to THP officials, checkpoints are an effective means of recognizing the dangers presented to the driving public, by motorists who would violate the drivers license laws of the state.
All scheduled checkpoints are contingent upon weather conditions and manpower availability.
