Lois “Cooter” Johns, 86, a resident of Georgetown, passed away Thursday morning, May 3, 2012, in a local hospital.
She was the daughter of the late Beulah E. Pruitt Campbell and Clarence Campbell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Ramsey Johns; daughter, Linda Harris; sisters: Rosie Mayberry and Sally Phillips; and brothers: Grover Campbell and Ralph Campbell.
She was of the Church of God faith.
Survivors include her daughter, Shirley Ledford of Georgetown; sister, Pauline Weathers of Charleston; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
A Remembrance of Life service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 5, 2012, in the Wildwood Avenue Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes with Pastor Russell Irvin officiating.
Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with J.P. Bice, Denny Harris, Ronnie Bice, Rodney Ledford, Clint Ledford and Michael Harris serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 this evening at the funeral home.
