Walter H. Legenza, 75, of Cleveland, passed away Monday April 30, 2012, in a local hospital.

He worked for Federal Sign and Signal in Chicago for 33 years.

He was baptized and confirmed Catholic.

He enjoyed sports, and was a member of Global Lottery Collector’s Society and Senior Circle at SkyRidge Medical Center in Cleveland.

He was a former resident of Oak Forest, Ill.

He was the son of the late Helen Novak (Walter) and Walter C. Legenza; brother of the late Mary Ann Legenza; and brother-in-law to the late Sharon Garrigan and Allan Wingard.

He is survived by Judith Ann Legenza, his wife of 52 years; he was brother to Kathleen (Peter) Ellement; brother-in-law to Wilma Wingard, Albert Wahl and Sherryl Pinson; godfather to Peter Ellement (Karen); uncle to William Pinson, U.S. Marines (Laura); and great-uncle to Nicole Ellement, Jennifer Ellement and James Pinson.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 this evening May 4, 2012, at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home concluding with a Rosary service at 8 p.m.
