Mohney to speak Saturday at Broad Street UMC

Dr. Nell Mohney will be the inspirational speaker at a luncheon at Broad Street United Methodist on Saturday at 11:30 a.m.

Women of Cleveland are invited. The cost of a ticket is $10 and reservations can be made by calling the church office.

Mohney is a native of Shelby, N.C., and a magna cum laude graduate of Greensboro College, where she was named a Distinguished Alumnus. The rs degree was awarded by Tennessee Wesleyan College.

She is the author of 13 books, the latest of which is “Just Choose Happiness.” She speaks throughout the state and nation and leads seminars for business, professional and church organizations.

In 1993 she was named to the Chattanooga Women of Distinction Hall of Fame, in 1998 she was named a biographee in Marquis’ “Who’s Who in America” and in 1999 was named Tennessee Woman of Distinction.
