She was a lifelong resident of Cleveland having been born on Jan. 30, 1926, a daughter of the late Bruce E. and Hattie Guinn Shields.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory one daughter, Charlene Redmond Pitre (James); and one son, Victor A. Redmond (Earlene);four grandchildren: Scott Redmond, Marc Redmond, Jamie Beaty (Mark), and Mindy Pitre; six great-grandchildren: Morgan and Sarah Redmond, Isaiah and Carmen Beaty, Isabella Pitre, and Micah Burnette; and a host of other extended family members and friends.
