The staff at SkyRidge Medical Center in Cleveland, dedicate their lives to the health and wellbeing of others.

In addition to the work they do every day, SkyRidge decided to go one step further to meet the needs of the Cleveland community by conducting a food drive in honor of The Caring Place, and on April 30 delivered 5,390 pounds of food from the event.

The compassionate staff at SkyRidge Medical Center worked extremely hard to ensure the success of their food drive.

One devoted staff member, Bill McConnell, even came into work on his days off as well as nights to encourage giving.

The donation of 5,390 pounds makes an enormous difference for The Caring Place. In the 18 weeks that they have been open this year, The Caring Place has served an average of 294 families per week.

At 20 pounds of per family that equals 5,880 pounds of food that is being distributed each week. Because of the staff at SkyRidge Medical Center 268 children and families will be better nourished. It is this type of generosity that makes the vision of The Caring Place a reality.
