The camp will run Monday through Thursday, beginning at 8 a.m. and finishing at 11:30 a.m. each day. Anyone on the spectrum age 4 to adult is invited to attend.
Each camper will get a T-shirt by the end of the week and will get to participate in special activities such as horseback riding, swimming, and various other activities such as art projects and music.
Applications are now being accepted. The cost is $50 per camper with a sliding scale for families with two or more children attending.
The day camp will precede the 10th annual Southeastern Autism Symposium, titled, “Diamonds are Forever … So is Autism: From Rough Cut to Precious Gem.” The symposium will take place Thursday and Friday, June 21 and 22, and will feature keynote speaker Dr. Vincent Carbone.
