Col. Marshall receives doctorate

Colonel Alan Marshall, United States Air Force, recently graduated from Regent University, Virginia Beach, Va., with a doctorate in organizational leadership.

Col. Marshall is currently serving as the Air Combat Command, Chief of Flight Safety, at Langley Air Force Base Virginia.

Marshall previously held a masters degree in applied mathematics from the University of Washington, and a masters degree in aeronautical sciences from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

Col. Marshall received his commission and bachelors degree from the United States Air Force Academy in 1987.

Marshall is a combat veteran of Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom.

He is the son of a local Waterville Elementary School teacher, the late June Marshall, and the local painter and minster the Rev. James I. Marshall.

Colonel Marshall graduated from Bradley Central High School. He hasone sister, . Jeannie Trew of Ocoee, Tennessee.
