Author to present day in a Wild West show as part of reading program

“A Day in the Life of a Wild West Show” will be presented by author Richard A. Georgian June 7 at 3:30 p.m. at the Cleveland Bradley County Public Library in conjunction with their Adult Summer Reading Program, “Between the Covers.”

Georgian will take his audience behind the scenes on a typical day in a Wild West show from arrival of the advance crews to the final departure for the next town. All aspects of life on a lot and on the road are explained using knowledge gained from researching Cossacks, Indians and Buffalo Bill. There will be black and white pictures from 1892 through 1917 depicting this Wild West Tent Shows.

Georgian resides in Florida and is the past president of the Gulf Coast Writers Association for three years. Raised St. Louis, he graduated cum laude from the University of Maryland, College Park. He spent 22 years with the U. S. Navy Communications and then 10 years in corporate America as a senior systems analyst and instructor.
