He was born in Morgantown, W.Va., on July 22, 1930. He was the son of the late George Sr. and Grace Ramage.
He moved to the Cleveland area more than 22 years ago. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, who served his country during the Korean War. He was retired from the M&M Mars Co.
He was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marlene; five sisters; and one brother.
He is survived by three daughters: Brittany Ramage, Jane Holdman (Steve), and Nancy Walls (Gordon); one son, Robert Ramage; one stepdaughter, April Foster (D.J.); five grandchildren; two caregivers and sitters: Pamela Dorn and Penny Albertson; special friends: Mabel Tucker, Bob Dorn, Chris Dorn, Halie Dorn, Kathy Albertson, Angie Hurley, Mike Hurley, “His Little Buddy” — Bobby Everett Jr., Nick Nakdimen P.A., all of his Kmart and Denny’s friends; and his beloved pets “Tex” and “Bailey.”
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 7, 2012, at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Chris Dorn, Earl Higgins, David Ricketts, Brandon Stokes, Doug Lance, and Ron Chancey serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends, Wednesday June 6, 2012, from 5 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home parlor.
