A Cleveland woman was charged by Cleveland Police after she allegedly took cash from her employer.

According to an affidavit filed by officer Matt Bailey of the Cleveland Police Department, he was called to Walmart on Treasury Drive and spoke with company officials.

Christina Wilcox, 18, was reportedly taking cash from registers, according to his report.

Company officials noted an investigation had been launched in mid-May.

Notes from the investigation and other alleged evidence were obtained and filed with the case, according to Bailey.

n A man walking along APD 40 was arrested after a sheriff’s deputy noticed him stumbling.

Deputy Daniel Watson noted in his report he observed Eddie Dean Powell, 46, walking and “appeared to be stumbling.”

After making contact with Powell and determining he had been drinking, Watson found alleged marijuana on his person during a pat down. A small pill was also discovered, according to the deputy’s report.

Powell was arrested and taken to the Bradley County Jail where he was booked for public intoxication, possession of Schedule IV and II, as well as possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was placed under $1,250 bond, according to Bob Gault, media relations coordinator for BCSO.

Powell posted bond Wednesday morning.
