Cleveland students cited among McCallie graduates

Three Cleveland-area natives were members of McCallie School’s graduating class of 2012 and participated in commencement ceremonies May 20 on the McCallie campus.Josh Bandy of McDonald is the son of Dennis and Tena Bandy and will attend University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Arturo Rocha is the son of Javier and Sofia Rocha of Cleveland. He earned an athletic scholarship to play soccer at Lee University.

Reed Turpin is the son of Dr. David and Gwen Turpin of Cleveland. He will attend the University of Tennessee on a Volunteer Scholarship. Reed was also presented the Senior Art Award at the end-of-the-year awards ceremony.Additionally, freshman Weimer Macuri-Espinoza of Cleveland was awarded the Bibb Memorial Award at the annual awards day. This award is presented to the student who has demonstrated excellent scholarship in Biblical studies.
